Instead of guessing whether a photo fits an Instagram Story, a YouTube thumbnail, or a LinkedIn feed post, you pick a destination preset, crop and resize to the platform’s exact dimensions, and preview the result inside a realistic mockup of that platform.
Every day, millions of images are posted without ever being checked inside the real platform interface. Text gets cut off, logos sit in safe zones, faces fall behind interface elements, and covers get cropped in ways the creator never intended. RealResizer exists to close that gap: crop, resize, and preview your image inside realistic platform mockups so you see the final look before anything leaves your device.
The tool ships with dimension presets for the most common destinations: Instagram Stories, Reels and feed posts; YouTube thumbnails, Shorts and channel art; TikTok; Facebook covers; LinkedIn posts and banners; X (Twitter) profile headers and posts; Spotify and Apple Music covers; and SoundCloud banners. After you cut an image, one tap opens a realistic preview so you can check how it reads at a glance — including mobile, desktop, and TV views where the platform behaves differently across devices.
RealResizer pages explain the safe zones of each platform — the areas where interface elements such as profile names, captions, duration badges, and action buttons overlap the image. That guidance helps you keep text, logos, and faces in the part of the frame that stays visible, rather than discovering after posting that critical detail is hidden.
Once your crop is ready, export as PNG (lossless), JPEG, or WebP. The export dimensions match the preset you chose, and JPEG/WebP quality is adjustable. PNG keeps every pixel intact; JPEG and WebP trade some detail for much smaller files.
Everything runs inside your browser. You upload nothing, and all processing happens locally — your image is loaded into an in-memory canvas and never transmitted. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side processing. Your image never leaves your device.
RealResizer is built and maintained by Pratham as an independent, free tool. It is a single-person project, and it is supported by Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and Google AdSense for advertising, both declared in the Privacy Policy.
RealResizer is feedback-driven. If a platform preset is missing, a dimension looks out of date, or something behaves unexpectedly, you can request a change through the contact page. Preset requests are reviewed and, where feasible, added.
